Mount Langi Ghiran is one of the most historic and unique wineries in Grampians, Victoria, Australia. It also owns the oldest and purest vines in Australia. It is famous for producing the most iconic Shiraz from cool climate region.

Langi is against the backdrop of the Grampians mountain range, Victoria, near the Great Dividing Range. Unique soil, granite topsoil over red clay，which gives the wines unforgettable flavor. The vineyard was originally planted in 1862. Grampians, as one of the coolest region in Australia, has also become Home of one of Australia's finest cool climate wines, the Langi Shiraz.
历史与传承
葡萄园从1862年开始种植。1963年， Fratin兄弟从有140年历史的Nursery带来源自瑞士的西拉剪枝，葡萄园得以重新种植。
Originally planted in 1862, then replanted in 1963 by the Fratin brothers with Swiss clone Shiraz taken from the 140 year old Nursery in the region.

First Langi Shiraz was produced in 1979. The exceptionally high quality of Langi’s fruit quickly drew a strong following.

For the 1981 vintage, Trevor Mast was appointed winemaker. In 1987, he purchased the winery. Throughout the 80’s and 90’s Trevor took cuttings from the Old Block and planted over 15 different blocks of Shiraz.

Consistently producing outstanding, elegant wines earned the Langi Shiraz a place on the Langton’s classification in 2000.

The Rathbone family purchased the property in 2002. Trevor remained at Mount Langi Ghiran until 2006.
